Mooroobool Hub

 The Mooroobool Hub is a community hub providing collaborative and integrated service delivery between different organisations across a local area.  Service hub characteristics are flexible to adapt to local needs, circumstances, and available resources

The objectives of a service hub in Cairns West are to:

• Provide an outreach place-based service hub to deliver services on-the-ground
• Build community capacity and sustainability of the Cairns West community
• Reduce youth criminal activity in Cairns West
• Encourage positive outcomes for young people, families and communities who reside in the area

Queensland Police Service, on behalf of Cairns Safer Streets, is the current lease holder of Mooroobool Hub therefore in order maintain the property for the purpose of a community service hub, our staff are currently manage the property’s maintenance and booking calendar and deliver a rostered working roster whilst gathering community feedback through consultation until such time that a full-time hub service can be engaged to assume this role.
